Overview of this unit

  • Students will be working in pairs.

  • They will take 4 to 6 pictures between 2 points around the school.

  • They will plan what main objects or structures they will need to take pictures of.

  • They will take the pictures.

  • They will put their pictures in the correct sequence using the sequence board.

  • They will swap their pictures with other pairs, with each pair needing to work out the correct sequence of the pictures.

  • They will glue their pictures onto an Answer Sheet in the correct sequence.

Students will also spend time learning how to operate and effectively use a digital camera, with a focus on the main camera functions of:

  • How to turn the camera on

  • How to turn the camera off

  • How to zoom in

  • How to zoom out

  • How to get the object into the middle of the picture

  • How to ensure the camera is in focus

  • How to take the picture i.e. which button to press
